In GKX we aim to minimize the challenges by living and studying "alone" as a teenager in Denmark as much as possible and to establish interdisciplinary networks between International students and Danish companies, organizations, and associations.

Global KnowleX (GKX) provides local-based, professional support to international students (16-19 yr) studying the world-recognized IB Diploma or Pre IB at a Danish High School.
The GKX network is your ”family” in Denmark; an exclusive combination of natives who know all about the do’s and don’ts; and a national-based group of international students to share experiences and perhaps visit on the weekend.
We base our core values on your safety by focusing on well-being activities replacing loneliness with ”feeling home” and personal growth, and minimizing (but not ignoring) the risk of homesickness and culture shock. In addition, you get an introduction to Danish ”hygge” (coziness), family traditions, and the local network.
Our noblest task is to ensure students a happy study life in Denmark together with new friends – and to give parents worry-free days and nights.

The GKX eXplore Membership
In Global KnowleX, we are proud to introduce the concept “GKX eXplore DK”. It is a unique student Member Club & virtual Community developed for primary European teenagers (15 - 20yrs) studying and living without parents in Denmark. It gives members access to the informative student platform “Living in Denmark”, our online community to find other students living around Denmark, and a webshop with access to a number of services, events, and company visits.
The membership and community primarily target European pre-/ IB students, volunteers, and educational trainees living at boarding schools, dorms, or private rental properties. Still, international exchange students in High school and host family programs can benefit from becoming “GKX eXplore DK” members.
GKX Community: The GKX eXplore DK Community is a place to develop and experience more knowledge about how the Danish welfare system works, to get an introduction to some of the many worldwide known Danish companies and how they all in different ways daily handle growing political and non-politic requirements like sustainability, human rights, healthcare, and animal welfare. The community is also for High School students and peers to meet fellow students interested in developing a safe future for all and a place to network and develop new friendships online and meet peers to visit on weekends and holidays. Therefore it is - and must be - a safe place to “hang out.” To ensure that all share good intentions for participating, no one gets admission without a personal screening, incl. identity proof.
eXplore Plus: Based on years of experience with international teenagers, we have developed a number of services, events, etc. which can be booked by GKX Members only.
“Support to eXplore DK” is for prospective students and families, who search for guidance about choosing the right high school, the possibility of developing special interests (sport, music, etc.), study applications, general pre-orientation, the security of having a Danish contact person before and during the stay, we recommend signing up for one of our special programs (Basic Light, Basic, eXtended) through one of our European, professional educational partners.
